He was born in 1950 in Antalya. He was graduated from Middle East Technical University Chemistry in 1975. He had the Master Degree in 1978, phd Degree in 1980 from the same university. He has worked as an Assistant and Researcher at METU, TUBITAK and Exeter Univerity in Britain between 1974–1980. He has worked as a Lecturer at METU and as a Resarcher at Alberta University in Canada between1980–1984.

He has worked as the Manager of RD Department and ARGESA of KORDSA Inc. of Sabanci Holding between 1984–1986.

He has worked as a high level manager at Branta Mulia Cord Cloth and Industrial Yarn Factories, which was founded in Indonesia as an American-Indonesian cooperation, between 1986–1991, and at the company of the same group in Tailand between 1991–1996.

He has worked as the General Manager of ÇBS Paint Chemistry Inc. between 1996-1997 and at Güler Tire between 1997–1998.

He has started working as the General Coordinator in 1999 at Cafer Sadik Abalioglu Holding Inc. He has been working as the CEO - Chief Executive Officer - of Cafer Sadık Abalıoğlu Holding since 2003.

Dr. Faruk Güler, who is the Member of the Board of Directors of Holding companies, is also the Member of KALDER Board of Directors, Member of DEIK - Turkish-Romanian Business Council Commitee of Execution, and the Member of TUSIAD, Turkish Institutional Management Association and Family Business Network. Dr. Faruk Güler, who is married and has two children, can speak English.
