In order to attain a happy society structure consisting of happy individuals at peace with themselves and the nature; it is necessary to defend reasonable and balanced production and consumption policies, that is, a sustainable life. Struggling for environment requires patience and determination. The targets are usually realized in the long run with the help of public support. It is known that internal audit mechanism and the sense of responsibility to be formed in the society are more effective than legal sanctions. Environmental problems need urgent solution can be removed by sharing such problems with every segment of the society. DOÇEV was founded in 1996 under the leadership of İsmet ABALIOĞLU in Denizli, Turkey in order to carry out activities to increase public awareness, protect natural and environmental values.

DOÇEV has undertaken a mission so as to bring together the social and physical structure defined by dynamic production and consumption processes with a greener, healthier and cleaner environment. We are of the opinion that such structuring in a medium scale city has formed a model for the similar cities of Turkey.

DOÇEV;
• Plants forests and fighting against erosion.
• Plant forests at public areas such as schools and hospitals.
• Arranging the surroundings of memorial trees and take them under protection.
• Hangs the bird nests on the trees and support wildlife.
• Organizes training studies in order to increase public awareness.
• Carries out case studies pioneering for recycling wastes.
• Collects electronic wastes, the pollutant of the century.
• Prevents environmental hazards by collecting waste batteries.
• Creates public opinion to prevent soil and water pollution and correct use of water and develops projects.

Environmental training and implementation Projects of DOÇEV are supported by environmental funds of ; European Union, DEFRA-Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, British Embassy, World Bank, REC-Regional Environmental Center . DOÇEV determines its strategic structuring according to tendencies and expectations of the society and realizes its activities with volunteer participation.
